Often seen as sentinels of climate change, I've been looking at how birds are shifting their behaviors to changing environmental conditions. Their adaptive strategies bring up important existential questions for us humans, as we, too, grapple with how to adapt to a warming planet. In this series, I'm also voicing my concern about the current trend to silence climate science in a time when we're experiencing the effects of environmental change more acutely than ever.
